Senna, nature's own laxative, has been used for centuries to help treat constipation. Today you can find natural source senna in the Senokot family of laxatives. Standardized for consistency, the senna in Senokot comes from a vegetable source made from the deseeded pod of the senna plant. This helps encourage normal bowel movements
Directions:
ADULTS: 10 - 15 mL at bedtime, as required.
Maximum, 15mL twice per day.
IN PREGNANCY AND CHILDREN (6 - 12 YEARS): 5 - 10 mL at bedtime,
not to exceed 10 mL twice per day.
CHILDREN (2 - 5 YEARS): 3 - 5 mL. Maximum 5 mL twice per day.
INFANTS (LESS THAN 2 YEARS): Consult a physician.
Ingredient
Each mL of Senokot syrup contains 1.7 mg standardized sennosides.
Caution
As with all laxatives, do not take for more than one (1) week without consulting your physician. Overuse or extended use may cause dependence for bowel function. When abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever are present, laxatives should not be used without consulting a physician. Laxatives should not be taken within two (2) hours of another medicine because the desired effect of the other medicine may be reduced.
