Description
When hard, dry stools cause discomfort, Senokot•S offers a gentle approach to relieving occasional constipation by combining a softener with a natural source laxative. For those times when constipation is a concern, natural source Senokot can provide comfortable, overnight relief. While bulk forming laxatives may take days to work, Senokot works overnight so you can wake up to relief in the morning. Unlike some laxatives which can be harsh, Senokot provides comfortable relief. Known and recommended by healthcare professionals for over 30 years, Senokot laxatives work over night, so they can be taken conveniently at bedtime. Senna, nature's own laxative, has been used for centuries to help treat constipation. Today you can find natural source senna in the Senokot family of laxatives. Standardized for consistency, the senna in Senokot comes from a vegetable source made from the deseeded pod of the senna plant. This helps encourage normal bowel movements
Directions:
ADULTS: 2 - 4 tablets at bedtime, as required.
Maximum, 4 tablets twice per day.
IN PREGNANCY AND
CHILDREN (6-12 YEARS):
1-2 tablets at bedtime, (max. 2 tablets twice daily
Ingredient
Each orange, film coated Senokot•S tablet, stamped S/S on one side, contains 8.6 mg standardized sennosides and 50 mg docusate sodium.
Caution
As with all laxatives, do not take for more than one (1) week without consulting your physician. Overuse or extended use may cause dependence for bowel function. When abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting or fever are present, laxatives should not be used without consulting a physician. Laxatives should not be taken within two (2) hours of another medicine because the desired effect of the other medicine may be reduced.
