Description
Habitrol is a temporary aid used to facilitate smoking cessation in smokers who strongly desire to give up their smoking habit. Habitrol is intended to be used as part of a smoking cessation strategy.
Step 1 of a nine- to 12-week programme, these patches contain 21mg of nicotine per day, used if you smoke 20 or more cigarettes a day. Contains seven patches, or enough for one week's treatment.
Step 2 of a nine- to 12-week programme, these patches contain 14mg of nicotine per day, used if you smoke 20 orless cigarettes a day. Contains seven patches, or enough for one week's treatment.
Step 3 of a nine- to 12-week programme, these patches contain 7mg of nicotine per day, used after you have completed Step 2. Contains seven patches, or enough for one week's treatment
Directions:
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. THIS MEDICINE COMES WITH A PATIENT INFORMATION LEAFLET. Read it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may have about this medicine. SKIN SITES SHOULD NOT BE REUSED FOR AT LEAST ONE WEEK. DO NOT LEAVE THE SAME PATCH ON FOR LONGER THAN 24 hours. When the used patch is removed from the skin, it should be folded over and placed in the protective pouch of the new patch. DISPOSE OF IT immediately by placing it in the trash out of reach of children and pets. RINSE YOUR HANDS thoroughly with water after using this medicine. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dosed and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do NOT use 2 doses at once.

Avoid getting this medicine in your eyes. If you get this medicine in your eyes, wash them out immediately with cool tap water. FOR WOMEN: THIS MEDICINE HAS BEEN SHOWN TO CAUSE HARM to the human fetus. IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using this medicine during pregnancy. THIS MEDICINE IS EXCRETED IN BREAST MILK. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using this medicine, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
