DuoDERM CGF Extra Thin dressings can be used as primary dressings and are highly effective secondary dressings for use over wound fillers.The clinical benefits of DuoDERM CGF formulation are supported by over 500 published studies. DuoDERM CGF Extra Thin dressings are indicated for:
· Dry to lightly exuding wounds including:Dermal and diabetic ulcers
· Postoperative wounds
· As a protective dressings for areas at risk of skin breakdown
How DuoDERM CGF Extra Thin Dressings work:
DuoDERM CGF (control gel formula) Extra Thin dressings interact with wound exudate to produce a soft gel mass that enables removal of the dressing with minimal damage to newly formed granulating tissue.
DuoDERM CGF Extra Thin dressing’s unique hydrocolloid composition provides an optimal moist wound environment that supports the wound-healing process,1-3 aids autolytic debridement4 and protects the wound by creating a bacterial and viral (HIV and HBV) barrier while the dressing remains intact. DuoDERM CGF Extra Thin dressings can remain in place for a up to 7 days.
