Description
Dulcolax is a stimulant laxative used for the relief of occasional constipation.
Directions:
Children 6-12 years: 1 Dulcolax 5 mg suppository inserted into rectum.
Children under 6 years: Use only as directed by your doctor.
Dulcolax suppositories should take from about 15 minutes to 1 hour to stimulate a bowel movement.
How to Use Dulcolax Suppositories:
Unwrap the suppository from its foil covering. Insert suppository, pointed end first, high into rectum so that it will not slip out. Push the flat end of the suppository sideways to make sure that part of it touches the wall of the rectum. Retain the suppository in the rectum as long as possible. If you have difficulty inserting the suppository because of anal fissures or hemorrhoids, coat the end of the suppository with a lubricant (like petroleum jelly) to make the insertion easier. Store at room temperature out of reach of children.
